The Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type Blue is a multifaceted handset that as its name describes, offers both touch screen technology and a simplistic keypad by which the user can type. The handset is both compact and pocket friendly at only 106 mm x 48 mm wide and 9 mm thick and a lightweight unit at only 77 g in weight.
This new Nokia phone comes with a 2.4 inch TFT touch screen, which is able to display excellent quality imagery by virtue of the 256,000 colours it is able to display, within its 240 x 320 pixel screen size. The unit also comes with both ring and vibration alert options as well as the opportunity to utilise MP3 files as additional ringtones. The unit comes with a speakerphone that offers handset free communication whilst also providing a 3.5 mm audio Jack and dedicated music keys.
The Nokia X3-02’s phone book offers the opportunity to retain a wide range of useful contacts as well as offering photo call functionality. In addition the call records offers the ability to access information regarding dialed, missed and received calls. It comes with an internal memory of 50 MB whilst also providing a useful microSD card slot, which with the use of relevant cards can increase the memory capacity up to 32 GB.
The handset comes with a wide range of connectivity options including EDGE and GPRS, as well as micro USB and Bluetooth connectivity. Internet access is provided, offering speeds of up to 10.2 Mbps via its HSDPA connection, whilst the handset Wi Fi offers alternative means of access.
The phone also comes with a 5.0 megapixel camera that operates at 2592 x 1944 pixels and incorporates the ability to record video at VGA quality and at 18 frames per second. In addition the unit provides the standard SMS, MMS and e-mail functionality as well as instant messaging and also provides a useful WAP 2.0 browser. The handset is available in white silver, dark metal, petrol blue as well as pink or lilac.
Entertainment is provided by virtue of its stereo FM radio which comes with RDS functionality as well as an MP4/MP3 media player and a range of social media features. These include both twitter and Facebook functions as well as Windows live messenger, Yahoo messenger and Gtalk.
